220526 - another crisis.
Yep. another crisis.
there is NOT a single day in my life that i've had gone through without any crisis.
so long story short,
i've accepted a new job offer which focuses mainly on my expertise (or i think so), BIM, in a Japanese contractor.
But the main problem is, I already proposed my resignation to my (ex-)boss about a week ago, and he told me his concerns about it.
he told me
1. i was their(my ex office) hope in developing the use of BIM in the office
2. thus, if i were to resign from the office, i should talk about it first with my higher boss (so this higher boss is my boss' boss in the hierarchy)
and i tried to meet with hb (higher boss) since then but came to no avail, the day after that day, he didn't show up at work, and the next week, which was Monday, 3 days ago, I had to attend a meeting agenda, FULL DAY one. and when i said FULL DAY, literally means from 9am - 10pm. so that means not being able to go to office to search for my hb.
the next day, a.k.a 2 days ago a.k.a my last chance to meet my hb because it's literally d-1 to me going to my new office,
he came to work but i still didn't get to meet him personally.
so, yeah.
I'm literally hanging

OKAY GUYS SO I WROTE THIS A YEAR AGO IN MAY 26TH AND DIDN'T GET TO POST THIS
so here's another update,
i finally resigned from my office without telling my higher boss because i didn't get the chance to do so... and started working at the new office.
the first day was okay. i arrived at 7.30am and started working right away. but the day after that,,,,,, was when the unsettling part came....... it was national holiday, and my new supervisor kinda asked me if i could come to office...... but at the end he said himself "oh she's new here, better not ask her to do overtime this early"
i was like........... okay??? it's kinda unsettling but atleast i can enjoy my day off........
so the week went by and finally weekend came.
It was friday, 5pm, AND MY SPV ASKED ME TO COME TO WORK THE NEXT DAY.
I WAS LIKE??? bRUH u guys already did overtime few days ago, right??? Y U GUYS SO WORKAHOLIC???
i was sad of course because in my previous office i barely came to office in weekends........ i barely even bring my work home and i usually clocked out at exactly 5pm...............
but nonetheless, i still came to work the next Saturday.........
the other coworkers who also came told me that if we want to get paid for working overtime, we at least have to work for 6 hours. and there i worked from 9am to 3pm........ what the hell......... my precious weekend......... T_T
i didn't even get to attend my IELTS class that day because of this...........
so........ the pattern kinda repeated itself for the next week...... and i got more and more uneasy because this new experience, weird working environment........ unhealthy obsession with work........
so i decided to RESIGN after only a week of working there HAHAHAHAHAA
and holycow it was such a GREAT decision that i made, and at the exactly perfect time too. because if i did it later, i would've already been relocated to the site office in Cikarang....... alias di ujung dunia........
so.......... well........ after that.......... i kinda went back to my previous office (which i hadn't officially resigned from), asked to meet my boss and confessed that i wanted to cancel my resignation.........
THANKFULLY HE ACCEPTED IT AND EVEN THANKED ME FOR CANCELLING MY RESIGNATION OMG........................
and I've been working here again eversince............. I haven't even thought about changing my office anymore eversince...... lmao.
from that experience, i kinda learned few longlife-valuable lessons:
1. don't ever take ANY thing for granted.
2. be grateful for EVERYTHING that you have NOW.
3. you can always use your free time to focus on increasing your income if your concern for changing jobs is the salary...
4. flexible working time is rare for office jobs nowadays. THIS IS A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY. don't waste it.
