251126 - life in Gwangju, South Korea so far

hi y'all!

it's been a long time since the last time i wrote a post here.

So.... i got a scholarship, GKS and i've been living in Gwangju, South Korea since last August. I'm currently taking the korea language course for a year and next year i'll be studying for my master's degree in Architecture Engineering.

actually it's been 3 months but it still feels like a dream. because i've been dreaming about this since forever..... my obsession for kpop and BAEKHYUNEE led me to this omg:')

it all started with me failing to receive the sduwhv letter for getting a whv to Australia and i didn't wan my IELTS score to go to waste so i decided i'm gonna apply for GKS in 2025 with that certificate....and as additional document i also took the TOPIK I test (who knows it's gonna be additional score for me to apply gks, right? hehhehe. i even only started writing my essay back in January (right after i got back from my trip to Sapporo) and finished preparing all my documents in the first week of March. i'm not a person who likes to recheck my documents multiple times because i might lose my confidence if i find even the slightest  mistake/error in my documents! so yeah i just sent it like at the second week of March and thankfully because i sent it pretty early, the campus had time to check my documents and even sent me an email to tell me that they need one additional document. Thankfully i could send it by email and i did just that. so long story short, i finally got accepted as the final gks scholar in July <3 days and weeks of being nervous, waiting for every stage's result finally paid off omg<3

so my flight to Korea was at the end of August, and at September 1st my Korean language course started. i got placed in level 2 and i already finished the level 2 course 2 weeks ago. it was so fun. everyday i learned something new and i always felt happy whenever i heard baekhyunee saying expressions or words that i learned at class.... like..... I'M GETTING CLOSER TO BE ABLE TO TALK IN KOREAN WITH BAEKHYUN TT_____TT<333

so i'm now in my second week of holiday break, and next monday the level 3 course will start. i am so excited!!! <3 higher level means more vocabularies and grammars and getting closer to understanding whatever baekhyunee's saying at his livestreams UHUHUHUHU

so yeah that's a quick update...... i'm living my best life right now, everyday i always feel s happy and grateful like... Alhamdulillah ya Allah. each day i always look around me and be as present as possible in the moment and romanticize my life. LIFE IS GOOD<3

Let's pray that when i finished my 1 year of korean language course, my master's studies will be as smooth as now;_; HAHAHAHA.


oh and by the way, since i moved here to Korea, my fangirling life has been great also(even though exo's situation rn is kinda upsetting but yeah it's okay i'm always on baekhyunee's side) i attended chen's first (korean) solo concert last October, Arcadia. and i'll be attending kyungsoo's solo concert this December, do it! encore. hehehehe

ANDDDDDD I'LL ALSO BE ATTENDING BAEKHYUNEE'S REVERIE ENCORE CONCERT FOR 2 DAYS AT JANUARY 3-4 IN SEOUL AND WILL FINALLY REUNITE WITH MY FELLOW LOVELY KYOONGGIRLS<33333

i can totally imagine if i weren't in Korea rn, i wouldn't be able to attend their concerts especially hyunee's because it's at new year tffff flight tickets and hotel prices must be FCKING EXPENSIVE AF!!

once again, ALHAMDULILLAH.... <3

 Hi! So, yeah. i know i forgot to post here for 5 days but whatever Yesterday, i just got back from climbing mount Gede in West Java. My whole body is a shipwreck. 250618 - (not so) short update

 Hi y'all! so... long story short, i was about to apply for the Work Holiday Visa program to Australia but failed the war to get the SDUWHV.... and because i didn't want the money that i spent for the IELTS test to go to vain, i decided i'd use it to apply for GKS / Global Korea Scholarship. I didn't know why it's been years that i've been wanting to pursue my studies in Korea but just now when i'm reaching 30 that i finally did something about it. So i just took the TOPIK test in October last year. Thankfully passed level 2. and i applied for GKS this year. the application was in March this year and my friends who got the lpdp scholarship helped me a lot in writing my essays for the scholarship. So after months of waiting i finally got the interview invitation from my soon to be campus, and NIIED has announce the 2nd round result for the candidates.......... i thought i saw my name, but it was censored........ so i'm still not sure if it's really my...

211231 - the last day of the year

 hi. to start this post, i wanna say, well, i am definitely a person who can't keep up with my own commitment (to post daily on this blog). well... it's not actually a commitment, i just wanted to record my daily life with this daily log thingy. but apparently i couldn't. the reason was; either i was too busy, or just bored. but whatever. at least today i'm here, writing an update on this blog. today is Friday, December 31st, year 2021. the last day of 2021. and it's Friday. i mean, people can just easily skip school or work to go to holiday but because of new variant of corona virus, that is Omicron, the condition nowadays is weird. it almost feels like we're back to normal, but not really. people are swarming everywhere, acting as if the pandemic is over. the only difference is people are wearing mask everywhere, oh and there are still regulations to prevent covid-19 transmission such as social distancing, and earlier closing hour for (some) public places. so ...
